This page contains the pictures that I took of helicopters and from helicopters. Helicopters were a major part of our operations in Vietnam. They provided support in a lot of ways, from ferrying us troops, med-evacs, body bags, supplies, chief among these for us troops was food, water, and ammunition. They provided observation and air support. They ‘sky hooked’ heavy equipment and materials, see the Sykorsky below. I was amazed at what they could do.

Hi my name is Kate McDonald and I am an associate producer for the PBS affiliate out of St. Paul Minnesota, Twin Cities Public Television. I am looking for some photos I can use in an upcoming segment about a group of veterans who are rebuilding a Huey Helicopter. These pictures are amazing. Is there any way you have high-resolution images of these pictures that I could perhaps use in our broadcast?
If so please feel free to contact me. Thanks so much for your help, you have a beautiful website!
Thanks for your wonderful comment at the end of your email. As you know I have uploaded my Huey photos for you. I hope they are what you are looking for. Please keep me and my readers posted on the progress of the project. I’m excited to see it. Thanks again, Woody
Extremely intriguing. I like the way you write. Do you at present have an RSS feed?
